One Time Password (OTP) has been introduced as an additional security feature to protect your account from online frauds. OTP is a numeric 6-digit code sent to the mobile number registered with ICICI Bank. The OTP is confidential and should not be shared with anyone, even if the person claims to be an ICICI Bank official.
You are required to authenticate your transactions by entering an OTP.
If there is a change in your Internet Banking login details, you will need to enter an OTP for carrying out transactions. A new OTP will be generated for each login and you will have to enter the same to continue using Internet Banking.
Since this is an additional security measure, the OTP is sent only to your registered mobile number OR
You may call Phone Banking and enter your 16-digit ATM/ Debit Card number and 4-digit ATM PIN to know your OTP.

If you have tried to transact multiple times, multiple OTPs will be generated. Every new transaction/ request will generate a new OTP. You will have to enter the same to access your Internet Banking Account.
A single OTP is valid for one successful transaction/ request. OTP is a dynamic password and is valid for the current session only.
Your Internet Banking User ID will not be disabled. However, SMS OTP facility will be disabled after 3 incorrect attempts. You may call ICICI Bank Customer Care to enable the SMS OTP facility again.
If you remember the password, you can call us to activate your Internet Banking User ID. If you have forgotten the password then online password generation option will be provided to you.
ICICI Bank does not levy any service charge for sending OTP on any international mobile number.
A single mobile number cannot be updated for multiple User IDs.
The format to update the mobile number is Country Code & Mobile number. For example, a UK mobile number is 441234567890 (44 stands for UK Country code & 1234567890 denotes the mobile number).
The request for updating the mobile number will be processed within 1 working day.
A single OTP is valid for one successful transaction/ request.
To enhance the account security, with effect from Oct 2016, all the key transaction alerts for Internet Banking will be sent to your registered mobile number.
The OTP cannot be sent to your registered e-mail ID. OTPs are sent only to the registered mobile number updated in our records.
