The interest rate is reset every six months and is currently 8.05% per annum (as of Jan–June 2024), payable half-yearly on a risk-free investment.

 Investment and Tenure

Minimum investment starts at ₹1,000 with no upper limit. The bond has a lock-in period of 7 years. Premature withdrawal is allowed for senior citizens.
